  • 2 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Directions

  1. Rinse rice in a fine mesh strainer under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Combine rice, water, and salt in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat to low, cover tightly, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let stand covered for 5 minutes.
  5. Fluff with a fork and stir in butter if desired.
