Creamy Mac and Cheese

Rich and creamy homemade macaroni and cheese with a blend of sharp cheddar and Gruyere. Pure comfort food.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Elbow Macaroni
  • 4 tablespoon Butter
  • 1/4 cup Flour
  • 3 cup Milk (Whole)
  • 2 cup Cheddar Cheese (shredded)
  • 1 cup Gruyere Cheese (shredded)
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard Powder
  • Salt (to taste)

Directions

  1. Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Gradually whisk in milk and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in cheddar, Gruyere, mustard powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. Add cooked macaroni and stir until fully coated. Serve hot.
